RioSat uses ground-based broadband, which means reliable, high-speed communications, but we have the expensive equipment, and distribute it to you via low-cost wireless networking. The up-front costs are much lower, as are the monthly subscriptions.

The problems of distributing broadband in the campo are many and varied! So we have several alternatives to offer you:

RioSat Network  - This is a Wi-Fi and Wimax based distribution system that connects your house to a local network of similar systems. Other Solutions - These are similar to RioSat Network but utilise large, ground-based transmitters. Because of this, it is a little less versatile - we can't install new transmitters very easily! - but has a lower installation cost. Low-Cost Telephones - Various types of low-cost telephone service are available on all systems. And when we say low-cost, we mean low-cost! How does the prospect of a telephone system with FREE installation and FREE calls all over the world sound?
